Diver Training Courses Information

Important- PADI diver training courses are performance based NOT time based. M.A Divers understand that everybody learns at a different pace. Class sizes are kept small for personal attention normally two to four students per instuctor or dive team member. In the unlikely event that the instuctor decides you would benefit from additional training to complete a course, you will not be charged any extra.

Knowledge Development For "Continuing Education" Courses.

In most cases you can complete this section of your course at home using the supplied PADI training manuals, CD rom or DVD's. Your instructor will then review your knowledge at the dive site.

Confined Water Training.

This is completed at Moorways Pool in Derby. The pool has shallow and deep ends and is large enough for you to practice properly before your open water dives. For saftey your pool training is conducted water depths of 1.2 to 4 metres, this makes the transition to your open water dive site easy, as your first two dives will be no deeper than about 6 metres.

Transport.

Transport to training locations is not included in course prices. However, if you have difficulty with transport, car sharing can normally be arranged.

Open Water Training.

For your convenience the open water training is usually completed at the National Diving Centre at Soney Cove in Leicestershire and the Blue Lagoon, generally at weekends. This site is a disused quarry that is now devoted to scuba diving.
